How to create a Phemex API key for AlgoVesta

Follow these steps to generate a trade-only API key on Phemex and connect it to AlgoVesta in minutes.

Log in to your Phemex account
Open Account & Security > API Management
Click Create New API, enter a name
Permissions: enable Trade
Copy the API ID (Key) and Secret

Security first: never enable withdrawal permission. AlgoVesta only needs read + trade access — your keys are stored AES-256 encrypted and funds always stay on your own exchange account.

Yes. The key you create above is trade-only — withdrawal permission is never requested. Keys are stored AES-256 encrypted, and you can revoke access on Phemex at any time; see revoking & rotating keys.

Enable spot and/or futures trading, whichever markets you plan to use. Leave withdrawal off, and leave transfer off too where Phemex offers that permission separately.

No, it is optional. If you do enable it, add both AlgoVesta IP addresses from the IP whitelist page — restricting the key to only one address can get requests from the other server rejected.
