No-signal mode describes a bot that is connected and running but has nothing to execute: the source has not posted, every recent message was not a signal, or every signal was blocked by a rule; the bot is healthy, yet no trades appear, and telling those situations apart is the point of the term.
"My bot is not trading" is the most common support question in signal automation, and most of the time the bot is doing exactly what it should. A quiet channel, a channel that posts analysis rather than entries, a spot bot receiving short signals, a market that is closed, a daily loss limit that has triggered, or a parser that cannot read a new message format all look the same from the outside: a green bot and an empty trade list. Without visibility into which of these is happening, users assume the platform is broken, change settings at random, or leave.
AlgoVesta distinguishes the cases and shows them. Every message a bot receives is classified as a signal, an update, or not a signal, and every signal is either executed or blocked with a specific reason (rule, market closed, symbol not available, parsing failure, exchange rejection). The bot card shows the last blocked signal and its reason in your language, provided the block is recent and relevant to that bot's market. If a bot blocks several signals within a day without executing any, a one-time email explains that signals are arriving but not being traded and points to the reason. Preflight checks stop a bot from being started at all when a required piece, such as an API key with the right permission or a connected Telegram session, is missing. A forex bot shows no trades for two days. The signal log shows 14 messages: 9 classified as not a signal (commentary), 3 signals blocked as market closed on Saturday, and 2 signals blocked because the channel posted crypto pairs to a forex-only bot. The trader adds a crypto bot for the same channel and the next crypto signal executes; the forex side resumes on Monday.
