Non-custodial

Non-custodial means the platform never holds your funds: your money stays on your own exchange or broker account, the platform trades it through limited-scope credentials, and it has no ability to withdraw, transfer or lock your balance; you can cut the connection at any moment by revoking a key or changing a password.

Why it matters

Custodial services, where you deposit money into the provider's own wallets or accounts, add the provider's solvency, security and honesty to your list of risks, and history has many examples of each failing. A non-custodial platform cannot lose your deposit because it never had it; the worst it can do is trade badly within the limits you set, and even that is bounded by trade-only scopes and your risk rules. It also keeps you in control of the relationship with the exchange or broker: statements, taxes, withdrawals and disputes stay with you.

How AlgoVesta handles it

AlgoVesta connects to exchanges with trade-only API keys and to MetaTrader 5 with your broker login, and asks for neither withdrawal nor transfer rights. Balances and positions shown in the dashboard are read from your accounts, and orders are placed on them; nothing is deposited with AlgoVesta. Subscription fees are paid separately and are unrelated to trading capital. Revoking a key on the exchange, or changing the MT5 password, disconnects the platform immediately, and the platform never closes a position on its own initiative; positions are closed only by your stops and targets, by rules you configured, or by you. Credentials are stored encrypted, and the model is described in plain terms on the Security page and the about page.

Example

A trader connects a Bybit account with $3,000 and an MT5 account with $10,000. Both balances remain with Bybit and the broker; the dashboard reads them and executes signals on them. One day the trader decides to stop and deletes the API key on Bybit and changes the MT5 password: from that moment the platform can neither read nor trade either account, and no withdrawal or transfer was ever possible.
